Our 40th Anniversary Season begins with a new Music Guild commission by our own Music Director and Conductor, Dwayne S. Milburn, as we celebrate the musicians and supporters who have contributed to our ongoing success. Prepare for a sonic spectacular that will fill every corner of St. Matthew’s stunning interior space. World-renowned saxophonist Jan Berry Baker makes her first appearance with the Chamber Orchestra at St. Matthew’s, performing Jacque Ibert’s sparkling Concertino da Camera and William Grant Still’s lush Romance for Alto Saxophone and Strings. The program concludes with one of the most beloved symphonies in the repertoire, Mendelssohn’s vivacious “Italian.”
